Exams Conducted by SSC

1. SSC CHSL (10+2) Exam – The Combined Higher Secondary Level exam is conducted for filling the following vacancies:

(a) Junior Secretariat Assistant or Lower Division Clerk.

(b) Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant.

(c) Data Entry Operator.

Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must have passed class 12^th or an equivalent exam from a recognized university or board.

2. SSC CGL Exam – The vacancies covered under the Combined Graduate Level exam are:

(b) Tax Assistant, Inspector, Examiner and Preventive Officer in Central Board of Direct Taxes and Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs.

(d) Auditors, Accountants and Divisional Accountants under the office of CAG (Comptroller & Auditor General of India) and various Accounts Departments.

(e) Upper Division Clerk in Subordinate and Attached Offices of GOI.

(f) Sub Inspector in National Investigation Agency and Central Bureau of Investigation.

(g) Sub Inspector and Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics.

(h) Statistical Investigator in MOSPI (Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation).

Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) from an approved university or its equivalent.

Age Limit: From 18 to 32 years.

3. SSC Stenographer Exam – This exam is organized for recruitment in following posts:

(a) Grade ‘D’ & Grade ‘C’ Stenographers in Central Secretariat Stenographers Service.

(b) Equivalent Grades of Armed Forces Head Quarters Stenographers Service, Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service, Indian Foreign Service and other offices and departments of GOI.

Eligibility Criteria: The applicant must have passed class 12^th or an equivalent exam from a recognized university or board.

Age Limit: 18 to 30 years

4. SSC CAPF/CPO Exam – It is an umbrella exam for vacancies such as:

(a) Assistant Sub-Inspector and Sub Inspector in Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force and Sashastra Seema Bal.

(b) Assistant Sub-Inspector and Sub Inspector in Delhi Police.
