For which exams does Vidya Guru provide coaching?
We provide coaching SSC, IBPS Bank PO, IBPS Bank Clerk, SBI, LIC, National Insurance (NICL), DSSSB, DMRC, Railways, CTET, B.Ed. and all Govt. Job Exams. Apart from these exams, we also provide aptitude training to students aspiring for campus placements.
What is the duration of the programme?
The duration of the programme is 3 Months. However, fast track preparation programme is also available for those who want to finish their syllabus early. At times, students join the institute keeping in mind a certain exam and want to complete the syllabus in a short time span. We recommend a fast track mode of preparation for them.
Will I be able to keep preparing for exams even after the course has been completed?
Yes, you will be able to keep yourself in practice by regularly appearing for tests and doubt clearing sessions conducted at the institute. The best thing is that you won’t have to pay anything extra for it. It is a facility that we provide to all our students so that they are able to realize their dream of getting a reputed Govt. Job.
Do I have to submit the full fee at the time of joining? Is there an installment plan offered by the institute?
As our fee is quite reasonable, almost all our students pay the full fee at the time of joining. However, it is not necessary for a student to submit the full fee at the time of joining. Yes, we do offer an installment plan, which you can check out at our centre, which you have decided to join.

As a Graduate, for which Govt. Job Exams am I eligible?
Graduation degree makes you eligible for almost all Govt. Jobs. A Graduate can appear for SSC, IBPS, SBI and almost all Govt. Job Exams.
As a 12th pass, for which Govt. Job Exams am I eligible?
For a whole lot of Govt. Jobs, class 12th is the eligibility criteria. SSC, DSSSB, Post Office, Delhi Police, Railways etc. regularly conduct exams where 12th pass candidates appear and find a chance to work with the Govt. of India.
Is there any percentage criteria for Bank Exams? Does a candidate require 60% marks for Bank PO Exams?
Graduation (in any stream) is the eligibility criteria for IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk Exams. The candidate does not need 60% marks in Graduation to be eligible for IBPS Exams. Even SBI PO does not have any percentage criteria and requires only Graduation. However, a candidate is advised to read the official notification thoroughly as the eligibility criteria may change with time.
What is the medium of teaching at Vidya Guru?
The medium of teaching is Bilingual (Both English & Hindi). The medium of instruction is such that all students are able to fully understand the concepts being discussed in the class. Therefore, both English Medium students and Hindi Medium students study at our centres.
What is the success record of the institute?
Since inception, Vidya Guru students have shown excellent results. Although, the success record does tend to vary from one batch to another, yet overall 7-8 out of every 10 students get the Govt. Job of their choice.
How many students are there in each batch?
We focus a lot on providing individual attention to all our students. Hence, the batch size is small; around 25-30 students are there in a batch.
Is there any difference between SSC Exam Coaching and Bank Exam Coaching? If yes, then what is the difference?
Yes, the syllabus of SSC Exams is somewhat different from that of Bank Exams. However, this difference is around 20 to 25% only.
The most significant difference is in the General Knowledge section, where SSC Exams focus mostly on General Studies (History, Civics, Science, Economics, Computers and Geography etc.). The number of questions on Current Affairs tends to be on the lower side when it comes to SSC Exams. In contrast, Bank Exams focus mostly on Current Affairs and Banking Awareness. Apart from that Bank Exams have a separate section on Computer Awareness. When it comes to Maths (Quantitative Aptitude) there are some topics which are there in SSC Exams but not in Bank Exams and vice-versa. For Example, Trigonometry is there only in SSC Exams. Likewise, Permutation & Combination and Probability find their place only in Bank Exams. The focus on Geometry is much greater in SSC Exams. The questions from Geometry are primarily mensuration based when it comes to Bank Exams.
Will I have to pay Extra Fees if I prepare for SSC Exams & Bank Exams simultaneously?

Can I prepare for both SSC Exams & Bank Exams? If yes, do you recommend a student preparing for these exams simultaneously?
Yes, a candidate can prepare for both. We provide both SSC Coaching and Bank Coaching and cover all the areas (including those which are present in SSC Exams, but not in Bank Exams and vice-versa). We ensure 100% course completion so that no gap or deficiency remains. Since majority of the topics are common and the difference in the preparation is only 20 to 25%, we recommend that a student may keep his options open by aiming for both SSC Exams & Bank Exams simultaneously.

Is any trial class provided by the institute?
Vidya Guru does provide a free trial class. The purpouse of the trial class is to make sure that the student is fully satisfied with the quality of teaching and other aspects of the coaching programme before joining it.
How much time does it take to prepare for Govt. Job Exams?
It takes around 3 to 4 Months of dedicated preparation and hard work to crack a Govt. Job Exam. Cracking the exam requires great speed and accuracy because on an average a student gets only 30 to 40 seconds to attempt a question. Developing this speed and accuracy at times requires greater time duration for some students.
Does the institute provide any discount on the programme fee?
No. At Vidya Guru we treat all our students equally and there is no disparity in the fees that they pay. Moreover, in the best interest of our students, we focus completely on education, not on discount based marketing schemes just to attract them.
Is there any upper limit on the number of attempts for Govt. Job Exams like SSC Exams & Bank Exams?
No. There is no upper limit on the number of attempts. However, SBI has in the recent past limited the number of attempts to 4 for the General Category, when conducting the Probationary Officer exam.
